On September 21, the training course "Psychological assistance (psychological rehabilitation) in extreme situations" began on the basis of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. The event is supported by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine and as part of the pilot project of international technical assistance "Development of training capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on psychological assistance in extreme situations". Anastasia Kuchynska, a psychologist of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, also takes part in the training.
The training will last for 5 days. During this time, it is planned to consider methods of identifying and using personality resources, basic trauma focus techniques, history and meaning of "Felt Sense", neurobiological connections between the occurrence and processing of stress in the brain, training in controlled psychophysiological self-regulation and others. The event is also attended by representatives of the Center for Psychiatric Assistance and Professional Psychophysiological Selection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, etc.
