The other day British rescue specialists were in the Khmelnytsky region, sharing their practical experience and skill secrets with Podillya firefighters. Our foreign colleagues also visited the Fire and Rescue Exhibition, which focuses on both the historical heritage of the fire service and the present service, which is always ready to help in times of need.
Our guest examined the exposition of the exhibition, learned about the peculiarities of the development of fire brigades in Podillya, noted that the old fire helmets in the photos are the same as those of English firefighters of that time. And after listening to the story about the development of rescue service in the region, he agreed that our services have much in common: always on the lookout, always the first, the bravest and the most courageous - only such one can be a real rescuers.
Our colleague was very interested in the story about elimination of the Chernobyl disaster: "Even today, decades later, we have more powerful equipment, more knowledge, but the scale of the catastrophe impresses and astonishes the feat of people who went to the infernal flames to save the world. For us, professional rescuers, those firefighters are great heroes, professionals and role models"
The English firefighter was moved by the creativity of our children - the best drawings and decorative works of the winners of the competitions, which were held for several years in a row, were presented in the exhibition halls.
"I am impressed by such a high professionalism of Ukrainian rescuers, their extraordinary devotion to their work, the desire to improve - this speaks of the great future of your service!" - our guest said in parting.
